Creative Movement (Ballet/Tap/Tumbling)
-Ages 2 ½ -4 (must be potty trained)  
The primary goal is to foster creativity, freedom and expression in movement, and a love for dance.  The creative component is quite large.  Several fun or special activities happen in each class.  For example, a welcoming circle dance is used to bring the kids together for the first time each week.  We use exercises that work the large motors skills while building our coordination using ribbons, wands, floor spots and bean bags. Basic tumbling skills will also be introduced.  Each week we build on vocabulary basics for both ballet and tap.    

Kindergarten – 2nd  Grade (Ballet/Tap)  
Class covers basic movements found in all dance forms.  The class includes concepts that are found in an older child’s dance class.  Memorizing the basic forms of ballet and tap and creating a basis for developing a larger technique level.  Basic tumbling skills will also be introduced and expanded through out the dance season.  The concepts will prepare the students for the 2 grade year when they graduate to Ballet, Tap and Jazz.   

What is the difference between Jazz and Hip Hop?  
Jazz style of dance is what is seen in many Broadway type shows such as “Cats”.  It is a more structured, stage style of dance.  Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type of dance seen in music videos and commercials.  Dance moves    seen in shows such as Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and Usher would be typical examples of Hip Hop.  Hip Hop is one of the most popular classes in the school.  Students will learn break dancing, pop, funk and the necessary elements of jazz which are crucial to success in hip hop, but also get to learn hip hop moves which require the coordination and balance learned from jazz.      

2nd - 6th  Grade (Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Tumbling) 
Students will continue to learn the vocabulary and the skills needed to progress in ballet and tap.  Jazz is introduced and the basic skills are taught to continue the wide range of knowledge yet to be learned in ballet and tap. Floor gymnastic skills are introduced and explored based on the level of the class.

Pre-Teen/Teen - Grade 6-12 (Lyrical/Tap/Jazz)
In this age level Lyrical is introduced and is worked off the knowledge learned from ballet.  They will not only learn a new form of dance, but they will be able to excel in their knowledge of Jazz and Tap.

Kickboxing - conditions your body to the fullest by using resistance training.  Perfecting precision kicking and punching that helps with coordination and balance.  Rather than kicking and punching the air with sloppy unfocused techniques, you will be able to punch and kick focus mitts along with the encouragement from a partner.  Working with focus mitts also adds the benefit of stress relief with actual contact. *Bare feet or kickboxing shoes can be worn for class. 

 *Boxing gloves are required for continuous hitting to help prevent injury such as bruising or bleeding during exercise.  These items can be purchased from the studio. 
*Bring a water bottle and a hand towel for sweat.

Cross Train 
This class helps to build strength, mobility, and increase muscular endurance.  This training will elevate your heart rate for effective cardiovascular training and to help build muscle.  This class also incorporates the Tabata training method.  This class is for the committed individual regardless of their experience.
